Cruise the Gorge is ON! August 13-15, 2021
New show venue, but same exciting fun-filled weekend, starting with the “Neon Cruise”, Friday evening, downtown The Dalles. It will be an “open” cruise this year, so no need to register ahead of time. It starts around 7pm and extends well into the night. Several downtown businesses will be having special events during the cruise. You can also pre-register for the show at Burgerville between 3 and 8 pm.
Then Saturday brings the “Show in the Shade”, an open “show & shine” type car show. This year we’ve moved it to Riverfront Park, exit 85 off of I84. A beautiful riverside venue with very easy access and plenty of parking on the grass. Starts at 9am, with the Parade of Champions awards ceremony beginning at 3pm. Goodie bags and dash plaques to the 1st 250 vehicles. $20 entry up to July 31, $25 after. 40+ awards, food and specialty vendors, oldies music and plenty of raffle prizes.
Then Saturday evening features the Eagles Car Show/Dinner/Dance from 5 to 11pm at the lodge, 2006 W 7th, The Dalles.
Finally, if you want one more chance to trophy, there’s the Dufur Classic Car Show, on Sunday in the Dufur Community Park, just 13 miles South of The Dalles, starting at 9am.
So, one day, two days or all three, how much fun do you want to have?

Cruise the Gorge 2021 Vendor Opportunities
Cruise The Gorge 2021 is fast approaching and we’re looking for quality vendors to take part in one of Oregon’s premier automotive-centered celebrations. We’d like you to consider putting the event on your schedule this year.
Cruise the Gorge was launched 27 years ago by members of the Mid-Columbia Car Club, headquartered in The Dalles. It has grown from a modest one-day car show to an exciting 3-day celebration. The main event is the “Show in the Shade” on Saturday. 250 cars on the grass and thousands of spectators make for a full day of fun. Space rental for vendors is just $30, and you can basically use as much space as you need, either on the grass or in the parking lot. The show generated Almost $10,000 for The Dalles Rotary Scholarship Fund in 2019.
For a great overview of the show, look up “My Classic Car”, Season 21, Episode 12 on YouTube.
Additional vendor opportunities include:
The “Neon Cruise” Friday downtown, starting at 7 pm and lasting well into the evening. Hundreds of cars “cruisin’ the gut” along with streets lined with thousands of spectators turn the town into a beehive of activity. Vendors will need to make arrangements with local businesses, but most are very receptive.
On Sunday consider the “Dufur Classic Car Show” and “Dufur Vintage Days” in the little town of Dufur, 13 miles South of The Dalles. Contact Jason Davis at 541-993-8969 for information on this event.
We hope to see you at one or more of these events.
Call 541-993-1054 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for vendor registration requirements and forms.
